EASY THREE STEP PROCESS
Step 1: Basecoat
A specially formulated basecoat offers maximum adhesion to all substrates and provides a high-gloss reactive surface in which the metal spray bonds to. The basecoat is fast drying and cover most substrates in just one coat.

Step 2: Metal Spray
The unique water base solutions are sprayed at the same time through a specialized spray gun. The two sprays mix and react directly in front of the gun’s nozzles. The reaction creates a fine mist of chrome-like metal that lays in a continuous reflective film over the base coated surface.

Step 3: Topcoat
A clear, durable protective coating is applied over the reflective surface. Transparent colours can be added to achieve a vibrant spectrum of customizing options.

Technical Data
Using a 3-step, water-based spray application process, the Spectra Chrome™ spray system will place a highly durable coating of real metal on almost any substrate without using any toxic metals. This coating duplicates the look and feel of real chrome and can be further customized to replicate precious metals such as gold, silver, brass, etc. Please see the Technical Data Sheets for detailed information on each step of the application process.
Performance Testing:
Salt Spray Per ASTM B-117
Results: Over 1050 hrs. with no evidence of corrosion.
Wet tape adhesion per FED. Test method 141c, method 6301.2 Results: Pass
Specular Gloss/60 @ 395
Impact adhesion 140 IN./LBS.
Results: no failure past point of impact, passed test.
