| DI-1200 INDUSTRIAL DE-IONIZED WATER FILER SYSTEM SETUP
|
The DI-1200 De-ionized water filter system is shipped with the mixed-bed and carbon material in a sepearte containers.
The filter material must be poured into their respective canister before use. Please follow the instructions below.
|
.
1) Set the tanks near the location where they will be stored for use, since they will be quite heavyafter filling and harder to move
|
2) Carbon Canister - First, the blue carbon canister will be filled. Start by taping
the top of the gray riser with paper masking tape as shown (FIGURE 1). After taping
the riser, it should be inserted into the blue canister so that the riser tube touches
the bottom of the canister tank. The tape is used to prevent the carbon or fill
gravel from getting into the riser tube when filling the canister. Locate fill gravel
(FIGURE 2) and pour gently into bottom of blue canister. The fill gravel is placed
around the bottom of the riser tube to prevent possible blockage of DI water flow
due to carbon material impackment. Once the fill gravel is loaded, it is time to add
the black carbon material.(It is okay if the cubic foot of carbon material does not
come all the way to the top the blue canister).
|
|
3) Remove masking tape on the top of the gray riser tube and rotate carbon
canister cap onto the canister and make sure riser insters into bottom of cap assembly.
|
4) Mixed-bed canister: Next, the white mixed-bed canister will be filled. It is possible to pur the entire contents of the
mixed-bed material into the canister first, and then insert the gray riser into the bottom of the canister by pressing it down to
the bottom. The mixed-bed canister cap assembly may now be placed onto the top of the canister, making sure the gray riser inserts into the bottom of the cap.
|
5) Plug in the Resilite power pack into 120 volt AC outlet.
|
6) Connect the gray inter-couple hose between the two tanks. Connect the input water hose source and output hose and
turn on water valves slowly. Allow the filters to discharge a couple of gallons of water before use. Measure the water quality
with th TDS meter provided. The quality of the water should read .000 on the TDS mater and Resilite should illuminate green.
|
CAUTION: It is recommended to always turn off the input water source value to the DI system when not in use.
This prevents possible leaks that may occur when the system is pressurized.
